Ubiquiti Networks® Rocket™ M2 Carrier Class Outdoor 2x2 MIMO airMAX™ BaseStation w/ PoE (2.4 GHz /150+ Mbps)

Featuring mix-and-match industrial design, the Rocket™ is an Ubiquiti Networks® airMAX® BaseStation that supports speeds of up to 150+ Mbps real TCP/IP throughput. It is ideal for deployment in Point-to-Point (PtP) bridging or Point-to-MultiPoint (PtMP) airMAX® applications. The Rocket™ M2 enclosure is built to survive harsh environments and fits the Rocket™ mount built into every airMAX® antenna. This gives you the freedom to pair the Rocket™ with the appropriate antenna for your PtP link or PtMP network.

Frequency and Channel Flexibility

The Rocket™ is available in several frequency models to support your specific application. You have the freedom to locate, deploy, and operate the Rocket™ in these unlicensed bands (subject to local country regulations). The Rocket™ allows for a high degree of flexibility in configuring channel bandwidths, depending on the specific product model and local country regulations. The 2.4 GHz frequency band is free to use, worldwide; however, it is extremely crowded due to interference from other wireless devices. Also, there are only three non-overlapping, 20 MHz channels available for use with the Rocket™ M2.

Plug and Play Integration

Rocket™ radios and airMAX® antennas have been designed to seamlessly work together. Every airMAX® Sector, RocketDish™, Omni, or Yagi antenna has a built-in Rocket™ mount, so installation requires no special tools. Snap the Rocket™ securely into place and mount the antenna; then you have the optimal combination of Rocket™ radio and airMAX® antenna for your PtP or PtMP application

Utilize airMAX™ Technology

Unlike standard Wi-Fi protocol, Ubiquiti’s Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) airMAX™ protocol allows each client to send and receive data using pre-designated time slots scheduled by an intelligent AP controller. This “time slot” method eliminates hidden node collisions and maximizes airtime efficiency. It provides significant performance improvements in latency, throughput, and scalability compared to all other outdoor systems in its class.

Advanced Software Technology

Ubiquiti’s airMAX™ technology is proven in millions of deployments worldwide, exhibiting outstanding performance in outdoor environments. Such carrier-class quality is capable of high‑speed links, high-capacity, and scalability. Up to 100 airMAX™ stations can be connected to each airMAX™ Sector, and intelligent QoS ensures priority is given to voice/video for seamless streaming.

Spectrum Analysis Tools

The airView® Spectrum Analyzer allows operators to identify noise signatures and analyze frequency usage and activity levels onsite, so new access points can be set up on the least-used channels to optimize wireless performance.

airOS™

airOS™ is a versatile, highly developed Ubiquiti® firmware technology. It is exceptionally intuitive and was designed to require no training to operate. Behind the user interface is a powerful firmware architecture, which enables high performance, outdoor multi point networking. Among its features are: protocol support, Ubiquiti® channelization, spectral width adjustment, ACK auto-timing, AAP technology, and multi-language support.

airView™

Integrated on all Ubiquiti® M products, airView™ provides advanced spectrum analyzer functionality; waterfall, waveform, and real-time spectral views allow operators to identify noise signatures and plan their networks to minimize noise interference. You can even automate airView™ to record and report results.

airControl™

airControl™ is a powerful and intuitive, web-based server network management application, which allows operators to centrally manage entire networks of Ubiquiti® devices. Among its features are: network mapping, device status monitoring, mass firmware upgrade, web UI access, groups devices management, and task scheduling.

In the Box
